Geriatric medicine is the treatment and prevention of disease in older people and the problems specific to aging.
Weight Loss Program

When looking for a weight loss program that work, knowing what components are key to success is very important. The first step is an assessment and evaluation. The provider will take a medical and weight history to better understand the factors that caused weight gain. Once there is a clear understanding of the patients medical status a plan for losing weight is next.

DOT Medical Exam & Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification
A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination must be conducted by a licensed “medical examiner” listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. Dr Charles is available for same-day appointments in the Wentzville location.
Wellness Exams
What does a wellness or physical exam include?
Measuring vital signs like blood pressure, height and weight, and body mass index. A physical exam performed by an MD, NP or PA. An assessment of your past medical history and surgical history. A discussion of family history of illness and health conditions. Review of any preventative testing needing completed.

EKG
Your doctor may suggest you get an electrocardiogram, also called a EKG or ECG to check for signs of heart disease. It’s a test that records the electrical activity of your heart through small electrode patches that a technician attaches to the skin of your chest.
Holter Monitor

The Holter Monitor is a type of portable electrocardiogram (ECG). It records the electrical activity of the heart continuously over 24-hour period. A standard or resting ECG is one of the simplest and fastest tests used to evaluate the heart.

Urinalysis
Urinalysis is also called a urine test. A urinalysis is a simple test that looks at a small sample of your urine. It can help find problems that need treatment, including infections or kidney problems.
In House Laboratory Services

In house lab services are provided Monday- Thursday in Wentzville and Fridays in Warrenton.

Minor Surgical Procedures

Cyst removals, incision and drainage of abscesses.

Minor Dermatology Procedures & Lesion Removal

Skin biopsy may also be used to diagnose rashes or skin cancer. A small sample is sent to a laboratory for a magnified view. You may be recommended to follow up with a dermatologist.

Vaccines Provided by VAXCARE

We partner with Vaxcare to provide most vaccines in the office, no need to go to your pharmacy.
